Terms & Conditions
ROOMS
(a) ELIGIBLE ROOMS STAY
i. An "Eligible Room Stay" is a stay of one or more consecutive nights at the same participating Sunway Hotels by a Sunway PALS Member who:
– provides his/her Sunway PALS physical membership card at the time of reservation or at check-in; and
– pays an Eligible Room Rate with cash or credit card; and
– stays in one of the reserved guest rooms. A Sunway PALS Member may earn Pals Points for up to nine (9) guest rooms, except for The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat with limit to one (1) villa only, during any Eligible Room Stay if he/she stays in one of the reserved guest rooms and pays an Eligible Room Rate. Only the individual stipulated in the folio is eligible to receive Sunway Pals Points and the individual must be an eligible Member of Sunway PALS prior to the booking confirmation to receive Pals Points.
(b) ELIGIBLE ROOM RATE
i. An "Eligible Room Rate" is the special room rate that is given to a Sunway PALS Member for his or her stay in a guestroom at any of the participating Sunway Hotel under Best Available Rates (BAR).
ii. All room rates on Best Available Rates (BAR) provided by our Reservation Department on the time of booking or reservation might vary on the next following day if booking was not made on the day of enquiry. Valid for call-in, walk-in and email bookings only. Quote Sunway Pals membership during booking to enjoy the offer.
iii. The Best Available Rates (BAR) applies to accommodation only (room only), and excludes taxes, service charge and other charges.
iv. The number of Pals Points credited will be based on the Eligible Room Charges paid at check-out by the Sunway PALS member.
v. Below categories WILL NOT BE recognised for Pals Points:
– the guestroom was booked at a group rate as part of an event, meeting conference or organized tour, and the Sunway PALS Member does not directly pay the participating Sunway Hotel for the room
– the guestroom was booked at a wholesaler or crew room rate
– the guestroom was booked and payment under corporate name, business, employee or friends and family rate;
– the guestroom was booked through a tour operator, online travel channel or other third party channel including, without limitation, booking.com, asis-experience.com, expedia.com, orbitz.com, travelocity.com and ctrip.com, etc.
– the guestroom was provided on complimentary
– the guestroom was booked under the hotel loyalty programme or voucher redeemed through the said programme
(c) ELIGIBLE ROOMS CHARGES FOR PALS POINTS
i. Eligible Room Charges are charges incurred by a Sunway PALS Member on his/her folio for up to nine (9) guest rooms per one day, except for The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat with limit to one (1) villa only, includes the following:
– Eligible Room Rate for INDIVIDUAL booking and full payment made by cash or individual credit card
ii. Eligible Room Charges DO NOT INCLUDE any business booking (under company name), corporate and business packages, group event bookings, complimentary services, room voucher from any other Loyalty Programme Rewards or any other fees or charges including, without limitation to the following:
– charges from additional add-ons services i.e roll-out bed, breakfast
– mini bar
– in-house laundry services
– direct dialled in-room telephone and direct-dialled in-room fax
– valet parking / parking fee
– spa products and services
– total food and beverage bill from in-room dining
– total food & beverages bill from dining in any F&B outlets that are charged to the room
iii. Pals Points may not be given to the Sunway PALS Member in which the member is not the registered guest and did not pay the folio upon check-out.
iv. To be eligible for Pals Points, quote Sunway Pals and provide your name and Sunway Pals Card no./Member ID upon reservation. Reservations can be made via call-in/email/walk-in.
v. Pals Points will be credited to the membership card only upon the check-out and complete payment. If for any reason the stay is not paid upon check-out, only the expenses for related services that have been directly paid to the hotel are eligible for Pals Points.
vi. Participating Sunway Hotels may correct the amount of Pals Points shown as credited to a Sunway PALS Member at any time. The hotel may decide in its sole discretion whether the event qualifies for the Point.
vii. Sunway PALS membership and Pals Points are not permitted to transfer to and from within the programme and or with another Sunway Loyalty Programme under any conditions including and not limited to exiting the programme, combining Pals Points among family members and under company accounts.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
(a) ELIGIBLE FOOD & BEVERAGES
i. An "Eligible Food & Beverages" is the total bill that is applicable for dine-in and take-away at participating Sunway Hotels dining outlets. The member DOES NOT HAVE to be a diner or be present at the check-out / bill settlement but subject to the following:
– Provides his/her Sunway PALS physical membership card at the time of payment settlement
– Payment made with cash or credit card
– Valid for a maximum of 20 pax dining only
ii. Eligible Food & Beverages Charges for Pals Points DO NOT INCLUDE any business booking (under company name), corporate and business packages, group event bookings, complimentary services, cash voucher from any other Loyalty Programme Rewards or any other fees or charges including, without limitation to the following:
– Not valid with any other promotions, discounts or packages and Sunway staff privileges and discounts
– Not applicable with any other offers, discounts, events, loyalty programme, and/or promotions (ie. Weekday Buffet Lunch & Sunday High Tea, Ramadan, Festive Year End, etc.)
– Group booking as part of an event, meeting conference or organized tour or Sunway subsidiary and the Sunway PALS Member does not directly pay the participating Sunway Hotel for the food and beverages
– Food & Beverages was provided on complimentary or partially subsidise by any Sunway subsidiaries
iii. Pals Points will be credited to the membership card only upon the check-out and complete payment. If for any reason the stay is not paid upon check-out, only the payment for F&B billing are eligible for Pals Points.
iv. Total food & beverages bill from dining in any F&B outlets that are charged to the room WILL NOT BE eligible for Pals Points.
v. Participating Sunway Hotels may correct the amount of Pals Points shown as credited to a Sunway PALS Member at any time. The hotel may decide in its sole discretion whether the event qualifies for the Point.
vi. Sunway PALS membership and Pals Points are not permitted to transfer to and from within the programme and or with another Sunway Loyalty Programme under any conditions including and not limited to exiting the programme, combining Pals Points among family members and under company accounts.
EVENTS & BANQUET
(a) ELIGIBLE SOCIAL EVENTS AND WEDDINGS
i. An “Events and Banquet” is any social event or function at participating Sunway Hotels booked under individual name/s and it’s not meant for business purpose or usage e.g. weddings, social dinners, celebrations or reunions and gatherings.
ii. Only the individual stipulated in the contract is eligible to receive Sunway PALS Pals Points and the individual must be an eligible Member of Sunway PALS prior to the contract confirmation to receive Pals Points in connection with the event. The member does not have to be a guest or attend the event function but subject to the following:
– Provides his/her Sunway PALS physical membership card at the day of the event; and
– Pays an Eligible Events and Banquet Charges and Pals Points will be given upon full payment (excluding any external charges apart from the cost incurred by the hotel) received and after the end event
(b) ELIGIBLE EVENTS AND BANQUET CHARGES FOR PALS POINTS
i. Eligible Events and Banquet Charges for Pals Points including, without limitation to the following:
– Payment done by credit card or cash prior to the event and/or on the last day of the event on the Event and Banquet packages including venue rental and food and beverage
– Pals Points will be credited to the membership card only upon full payment or complete payment. If for any reason the billing is not paid upon the last day of the event, only the payment made directly to the hotel are eligible for Pals Points
– Only valid for new event & banquet bookings only
– No Pals Points will be awarded for "no show" or cancelled events when a Member has booked an event guaranteed or full payment with a credit card but then does not hold the event--irrespective of whether or not the Member's credit card is charged for any portion of the event per the hotel's "no show" or cancellation policy
– No Pals Points will be awarded if the event or function was provided on complimentary, partly or fully sponsored by any Sunway companies and subsidiaries
– Not valid if the events and banquet are booked under another hotel loyalty programme or voucher redeemed through the said programme
– Any additional charges or unpaid balance are not entitled to Sunway Pals Pals Points after the end of event date
ii. Eligible Events and Banquet Charges for Pals Points DO NOT INCLUDE any external charges or cost charged to the hotel, complimentary voucher from any other Loyalty Programme Rewards and/or include any other charges including, without limitation to the following:
– Audio visual rental charges
– Any 3rd party supplier or agency charges
– Flower and decoration
– Parking valet and charges
– Any charges that are stipulated on the above categories and are non-Food & Beverages and venue rental
iii. In situation that the Pals Points are unable to be credited on the end event day, please allow a maximum of 2 weeks after the event has been paid for in full, for posting of Pals Points to the Member's account.
iv. Participating Sunway Hotels may correct the amount of Pals Points shown as credited to a Sunway PALS Member at any time. The hotel may decide in its sole discretion whether the event qualifies for the Point.
v. Sunway PALS membership and Pals Points are not permitted to transfer to and from within the programme and or with another Sunway Loyalty Programme under any conditions including and not limited to exiting the programme, combining Pals Points among family members and under company accounts.
